If you have read The God Delusion by the same author, you are probably used to Richard Dawkins' relentless, straight-up logic. He doesn't mince words, and gets right to the point. The Greatest Show on Earth is Dawkins' "summary of evolution." In the book you will find everything you will ever need to know about evolution, and all the evidence that is out there. For religious readers, it will be a real eye opener that evolution is not "just a theory" any longer. For anti-religious readers, it will more than likely give them a deeper understanding of evolution, as it did for me. Some of the book is difficult reading because it gets quite deep into some scientific topics. There are also dozens and dozens of Latin animal names thrown around, and it's quite easy to get confused at some points. Overall, though, this is an outstanding book, and quite a joy to read.
