The beautiful voice of Rosanne Cash takes me to Biloxi. I have never been to Biloxi, but she communicates the beauty of this place so well in the song entitled Biloxi. I can see the ocean. I can see the stars. I love the acoustic guitar playing. Biloxi is my favorite song from this album entitled "The River and The Thread" "World Of Strange Design" is about a person drifting into new surroundings. This song has a bluesy country tone that I really like.

I have never been a musician, but Rosanne Cash kind of communicates how lonely can be on the road for her on the song "Etta's Tune" and "Modern Blue". I get the sense that living on the road is fun for her, but it is always great to come home to a loved one. Many of these songs cause me reflect on my purpose in life for some reason. "Money Road" is a song that makes me reflect on just how important money is not at the end of my life. "Tell Heaven" is a song that reminds me that I can still have hope and not believe in God. "When The Master Makes The Roll" is a song that makes me believe that my life is in the hands of God. I really like the lyrics to both songs. "A Feather Is Not A Bird" is a song that reminds me that I am connected to everything in nature. These songs make me ponder my very existence on earth.

"50,000 Watts" is a song about the radio can be a source of hope in tough times. I listen to the radio a lot when I feel sad, so this song really hits home. "Night School" is a song with a very soothing tone. I don't know why it is called "Night School", but it is very relaxing to me. "The River and The Thread" is a very entertaining album by one of the biggest stars in music.
