There's more than one good reason to visit the South Austin Trailer Park -- an outdoor picnic-style food court full of silverstream trailers in 100% Only-in-Austin fashion -- but a visit to Torchy's tops the list. The tacos are large, in charge, and sassy with sauces that will melt your brain as much as your taste buds (seriously: what kind of alien goodness did they use to make the Diablo sauce so nummy?).
So often, cute names are a sign of desperation, but don't be scared off by offerings like the Dirty Sanchez (eggs, pablano chili, guacamole, cheese, and carrots) or the Trailer Park (a traditional chicken taco that can be ordered "extra trashy" by removing the lettuce and substituting gooey yellow cheese). The ingredients are top quality, something you can fully appreciate when ordering anything with fajita steak in it. Vegetarians with no qualms about calories will adore the Fried Guacamole Taco. Every taco is between $3 and $3.50, and can be enjoyed under gleaming Texas sunshine with complimentary water.
Do not leave without at least contemplating some Little Nookies (deep fried chocolate chip cookies).
Good,home-style cooking... authentic flavors- but in a lazy every kinda guy way!!The Queso is so simple you will walk out thinking "I should have done that!"Cheese, plus Guacamole, plus Pico-de-gallo.... = You Will Love It!!and never forget the words: "Green Chile Pork Tacos!!!"You will love'em!!!
