While traveling solo across the world, I meet many strangers who later become the best of friends. I may not see them often, but they sure have a great impact in my life. I'm forever thankful I meet them while traveling and am looking forward to meet many more. Traveling is like the air I breathe, I need them all the time! :-)
As 2009 began, I experienced walking in the clouds. It happened as midnight striked (on Chinese New Year, in Shanghai) and some kids flew some firecrackers into a neighbour’s apartment and fire broke out on the 8th floor apartment. Travel is the change in location of people on a trip through the means of transport from one location to another. Travel is most commonly for recreation (as part of tourism or to visit friends and family), for business or for commuting; but may be for numerous other reasons, such as migration, fleeing war, etc.
Travel may occur by walking or human-powered mode, or through mechanical vehicles, either as private or public transport. Travel may be local, regional, national or international. In some countries, non-local internal travel may require an internal passport, while international travel typically requires a passport and visa. The word originates from the Middle English word travailen ("to toil"), which comes from the Old French word travailler ("travail"). A person who travels is called a traveler (U.S.) or traveller (UK)..
