We're really underwhelmed, and maybe a little perplexed, by the new Veredus Guarnieri boot. You?
For us, it's just, to borrow from the world of helmet design, one giant leap too far in the "lightspeed air" direction. We're all for meaningful innovation that treats riding apparel and equipment like it is intended for serious sport, but can this be done within an aesthetic that honors the equestrian tradition? The Guarnieri's rubber inner calf is intriguing, but the adjustment system completely dominates the look of the boot, for reasons that don't seem to merit such an imposing solution. Like... ever heard of a boot stretcher?
We're really curious... what's your take on where show ring style is headed?
