I lived here my sophmore year and I must confess that it is LMU's answer to the ghetto. Not as far a the people who live here of course, but in a sense that the facilities could not be any worse. For the amount of money students pay to go to this school, the freshman dorms should be worlds better then they are currently. The rooms ar tiny, contain no bathrooms, and the hallways feel freakishly confined. That being said, I did have good times there as all the residents are very nice.
Whelan hall is a co-ed predominantly freshman dorm located on the bluff with a lovely view of the marina. As a transfer student in my sophomore year, I was placed in this dorm partly because of my low priority registration date and the fact that I transferred in mid-year.
