A Quick Tip by Count_Orlok_22
I think that probably more than any other film maker of the past 15 plus years, Guillermo del Toro has managed to create some of the most artistic and critically acclaimed fantasy and horror films ever made including Cronos, The Devil's Backbone, and Pan's Labyrinth. He has also been commercially successful with monster hits (pun intended) like Mimic, Blade II, Hellboy, and Hellboy II: The Golden Army. As a director, del Toro's brings his bold visual style, imaginative stories, and emotionally evocative characters to life on screen in ways that are fresh and exciting. He's seen his share of ups and downs (he's turned down some major block buster films because of commitments to other projects and he recently quit The Hobbit films, which was a huge blow to fantasy fans), but he seems to always come back swinging and that's the appeal of the man: he makes movies simply because he loves making movies. I can't wait to see what he'll do next...
