So, I’m writing the review, but Heather is the one that did the taste testing for New Belgium’s Mothership Wit. It’s her first one, so take it easy on her, ha, just kidding, you can let her have it.
We picked this jewel of a six pack after a Saturday afternoon running a crap load of errands, that consisted of grocery stores, Costcos, Sams Clubs and a variance of other places. On with the review.
On first crack, the wheat smell is slight with a hint of fruit. The taste is zesty with a bite at the end. The color of the brew is pale golden with a semi firm head that lingers around.
All in all, a good tasting beer with an assertive taste that gets you thinking about Summer and warmer weather. Not to mention this brew is Organic, another plus.

Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.
