The past few days in London Town have been hot, sticky ones. I have been constantly searching for ways to stay cool and refreshed. I think I have had all the ice lollys my sensitive teeth can handle and all the glasses of water my bladder can accomodate!
Today I cracked it: Apples. Or perhaps fruit in general. But really it is all about apples.
My tip of the day - pop one in the fridge, then when you are hot and bothered take it out and have a good old chomp! It will be nice and cool but not painful on the teeth, and if you have a juicy type, like a Granny Smith or example, then it will hit that thirsty spot too!
They're sweet and good for you, and useful in a lot of things. We can use them for pies, sauces, they taste great with some sweet spices or dips, and are available very widely. They're ubiquitous as hell, even being officially saluted as the fruit of the state of New York. Usually I'm put off of things that are ubiquitous, but for a fruit as important and useful as apples, I'll grant an exemption.
