I'm so craving a Beard Papa's cream puff right now. Preferably one filled with the seasonal pumpkin pie cream!

About this food

Beard Papa's is a Japanese company founded in 1999. Their slogan is "Fresh'n natural cream puffs." Beard Papa's has over 250 stores in Japan and 300 worldwide.

Their trademark product is a choux pastry shell filled with whipped cream custard, available in vanilla, chocolate, and specialty flavors such as green tea, strawberry, pumpkin, Earl Grey Tea, Èclair, and coffee. In addition, Hawaii locations also have haupia, lilikoi, and caramel flavors. The different flavors are sold on a rotating schedule.

The first Beard Papa's was opened in 1999 by Yuji Hirota in Osaka, Japan with the motto Pipin' Hot Cream Puffs. Since its beginnings Beard Papa's has grown considerably expanding outside of Osaka and even Japan itself to China, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, the UK and the United States.

In June 2008, Beard Papa's was identified as "wired" by Wired Magazine (the magazine's highest rating, above "Tired" and "Expired").

Beard Papa bakeries originated in Japan and can be found throughout the country. Beard Papa stores are also found in China, Hong Kong, Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Russia, United Kingdom and the United States. The company has also announced plans to open Beard Papa stores in the Brazil and throughout the Middle East.
