<all> "Welcome Envy1019."
I grew up as a Girl Scout, peddling cookies straight through high school. I come with carnal knowledge of these cookies.
It's been awhile since I've allowed myself to induldge in Tagalongs...at least two years.
I'm telling you I AM AN ADDICT. I've had to avoid them because I know that once I start, I won't stop!
The flavor combination of creamy peanut butter enrobed in milk chocolate is classic. But when you add that smooth, velvety texture to the crumbly crunch of the shortbread cookie they sit upon - WOW. It's a combination not found in a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.
Everyone talks about putting Thin Mints in ice cream for a real flavor treat. Yes, yes, all good! But try chopped tagalongs with fresh vanilla ice cream (maybe add a little caramel sauce?).....you'll have to reserve a spot on the treadmills at your gym to burn off that calorie goodness.
Hmm...all this writing....I might have to break my Tagalong abstinence.
The name patty is unapealing. Its a huge turn off and i absoluoutley hate tagalongs. Peanut Butter sucks and took my granfather off this earth he choked on the peanut butter inside and died at the table on thanksgiving. I will never touch a tagalong again. Congratulations on taking a life.
I have loved these cookies since I was a kid! I even bought them this year with the Salmonella scare and didn't care! These are just as good as I always remember and they always have a place in my desk....... and my kitchen...... and my office.... and...LOL!
Tagalongs are Girl Scout cookies that are also known as Peanut Butter Patties and come in a red box. They are crispy vanilla cookies layered with peanut butter and covered with a chocolate coating. When made by Little Brownie Bakers, they are called Tagalongs, and when made by ABC Bakers, they are called Tagalongs.
