An LA staple, with excellent tacos and salsa

The reason Tito's always has a sizable line at any hour of the day are for three reasons: tacos, salsa and prices.  If you're looking for an authentic Mexican taco of meat, onion and cilantro on a small flour tortilla, go hunt down the nearest taco van because Tito's supplies a tasty hard-shelled taco with beef, lettuce, tomato and cheese for a little more than a buck.  Doused with their signature salsa, the taco's crunchy shell, tasty beef and refreshing condiments makes a satisfying meal.

Waiting in line does not usually take more than 15 minutes, even during the weekend lunch hour.  Part of the fun of Tito's is the variety of Los Angelenos you'll see, lots of casual eaters of all ethnicities and every once in a while, a limo will pull up for curbside tacos.

I've tried the other foods on the menu like burritos and tamales, but the tacos continue to stand out.  You can get four tacos, chips and salsa for less than $5, and for me and some friends it became to dine at Tito's after a morning spent kayaking at the nearby Marina Del Rey harbor.

When I get my greasy Mexican food cravings, Tito's delivers the goods in spades.

Located on Sepulveda Blvd and Washington Pl in Palms.

I'm not too sure about the food here, but their salsa is soooooooo delicious. I am known to order tubs to-go and have a late night snack of salsa and chips.

My sister keeps raving about Tito's but I don't think she's ever been, just heard from friends about it. Have you ever tried King Taco? They're mostly around Downtown and points east.

Titos Tacos
Tito's may be the most overrated casual dining experience I've ever come across in my life. Not only is it highly regarded among armchair foodies both online and off, a drive past this jumbo taco stand on any night of the week will reveal a line extending out into the street in front of the establishment and threatening to extend into the nearby freeway underpass. Whatever, as long as it doesn't get in the way of my route to the highly-superior Cinco de Mayo--a taco stand literally right next door--which …
