I have a friend who has great taste in all aspects. She introduced me to Mothering and she is the one who first shared this delicious Trader Joe's tea with me. I instantly fell in love with the full bodied taste with a touch of cranberry tartness and spice. The combination of ingredients (see wiki) is so perfect, there is not too much or too little of anything, at least for my taste. I have tried other cranberry teas, like Celestial Seasonings, but the cranberry would always be so overpowering that it would make my throat hoarse. Not in this tea! The cranberries and rosehips give it a nice red tint. I love it hot, but you can try it iced if you want.

A few tips - when brewing it, steep for a few seconds and then cover your cup with a saucer. It is not very strong and to get everything out of the tea bag you have to be patient. Then after 4 minutes or so uncover and steep a little more. I would not typically buy it because it is a little pricey, but I got it as a treat. Since my mother now loves it too she brought it over for us to have at tea time when she visits.

The only thing that really bothers me with these neat little biodegradable tea bags is that they skimped on the thread. It is so short that the tag always falls in my tea! At the price tag of $3.99 they could have made it a tad longer. The box is a little big for just 15 tea bags, it could be almost half the size, a lot more economical. The tea bags are individually wrapped in plastic in case you are wondering, so these are good to take with you - to work for instance. A word of warning though, if you do not like spice in your tea go for something else.

Thank you Anastasia, great Tea Time Community contribution. And it sounds like a winner of a tea as well. Next time I'm near a Trader Joe's, I'll have to pick some up. I always have a container of cranberry juice in the fridge so this could be a great fit!

I really like green tea and this sounds really good. Alas, there are no Trader Joe stores in Louisville. Nice review.

Thanks Clay! Perhaps you could find something similar at Whole Foods if you have one :)
