Not your average ketchup!

I searched high and low for ketchup without High Fructose Corn Syrup. Of course it was Trader Joe's who had it all along. When was the last time you had ketchup with real tomato puree, not tomato concentrate? I'll tell you, it tastes nothing like the Heinz version where you are paying your money for a cheap sweetener (HFCS). They try to claim quality on their tomatoes, but can they attest to their product being non-GMO and without pesticides? I think not. Trader Joe's can.

The taste is amazing! It reminds me of what ketchup tasted like during my childhood in Russia where the food additives we find today were not yet invented and everything was wholesome. I had no idea back then that 15 years later I would be paying extra for tomatoes grown the way my grandparents, aunts, and uncles always grew them, without pesticides. I will not have anything else on my baked potatoes and barbecued meat. But then again, I am really picky with my meat too...

This 24 oz bottle is worth the entire $1.99, and then some. Compare that to 15 oz of Heinz Organic for $2.69! You just can't beat it, and still Heinz is organic tomato concentrate, not puree. We'll never know what their 'natural flavoring' is either. I can deal with Trader Joe's organic onion powder and spices. You shouldn't  need any more reasons to give Trader Joe's Organic Ketchup a try!

You're welcome! Take a look at the wiki for Trader Joe's, there is a link to their locations, there are a few in Arizona!

Whoooa, I didn't know that most ketchups out there have HFCS in it.  I thought that the only perk that organic ketchup had over non-organic ones was that they used organic tomatoes.  Thanks for the heads up.  After I'm out of ketchup, I'm definitely picking up a bottle of this from TJ's!

Yeah, I was kind of surprised too. Not good at all considering that there are still 4 plants in the US that process HFCS with the help of mercury! So, many products with HFCS actually have trace amounts of mercury in them too :( That was news to me!
