Twix, why are you so awesome?  Let me count the ways:

1. You make me feel better when I'm nauseated, sad, or just need to knock out some hunger pangs.  I have no idea why this is the case, but you keep doing it, okay?

2. Your delightful variety of textures.  You have gooey caramel, crunchy cookie, and melty chocolate all combined into one.  Eating you is like getting the full range of something or other.

3. Your ad campaign circa 1998 gracefully acknowledged our baser human instincts: "Twix: Two for me.  None for you."  IT IS SO TRUE.

4. Your thickness and cookie layer make you less susceptible to squashage than, say, your average Hershey bar.

5. Portability.  You're about the circumference of a thick ballpoint pen or a finger, so holding you feels natural.  You fit easily into a pocket or a purse.

6.  Your name.  That "x" on the end is so sassy.  What does "Twix" even mean?  Is it a play on "twigs," referring to your long, skinny shape?  Is it an abbreviation of "betwixt," as in "I will hold this delicious chocolate bar betwixt my fingers?"  Who knows?

Twix, you rule.

Mmmmm, all great reasons for loving Twix.  So much better than those Fling wannabe-Twix bars that are be marketed right now!

Oh wow, I hadn't seen that "Two for me. None for you." commercial in forever. It's all come back. The other one is pretty trippy.

The Seinfeld plot developed around this candybar (The episode where Jerry is buying a new car and George, along for the ride, has a Twix purchase stuck in the dealership's vending machine) is hilarious!  And the reason why it's such a great episode is because we can all relate, right? Who hasn't sacrificed a hard-earned dollar to the vending machine gods, only to have the treat of choice flop forward and become wedged against the catapult and the glass pane? It's infuriorating! Especially …
