The Carlyle Suites Hotel is a wonderful hotel in Dupont Circle, one of the most prettiest neighborhoods in Washington DC!  What I really like about this hotel the most is the kind, genuine service.

The hotel itself is located just 3 blocks from the central DC Metro and the Dupont Circle fountain.  It sits on tree-lined New Hampshire Avenue and surrounded by the most beautiful buildings, embassies, and parks. It's a very safe neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and nightlife all within walking distance.

The hotels art-deco decor is unique, especially the lobby.  The Bar needs a facelift, but it is quickly overlooked by the good food and friendly bartender.

All of the guest rooms have kitchens complete with stove-top, microwave, and plates and glasses for 4.  The room I had faced the parking lot, but it did have a view of the Washington Monument which was pretty cool! 
The Tempur-Pedic beds that they feature on their website are amazing.  

There is free parking in the back (a great amenity), but there are only 20 spaces available, so if you get one, grab it and use the nearby Metro!  Overall, this is a great hotel at an incredible value.

Home away from home? I like the sound of that! I've been meaning to visit my friend who lives in DC, so I'll look into this because it sounds fab. Thanks for sharing!

Sounds wonderful! I've heard great things about this hotel and will definitely be staying there the next time I'm in D.C. Thanks for sharing your experience! The free parking is a huge plus!
