Seagal's first Hong Kong film is also one of his best.

Belly of the Beast is a action packed film starring Steven Seagal and directed by Ching Siu-tung. This movie defines the word "action". The director throws in violent gun play, wu xia sword play, kung-fu, black magic mysticism and a lot of bone crunching and blood spurting ultra violence. Don't look for any realism in this film because it's all about action and mayhem. Seagal's is heavily doubled in this film (making the violence all the more free flowing and kinetic. The best thing I liked about it is how the director made Steve Seagal look like a total hardcore badass in this movie. Not since Above the Law has Seagal kicked so much butt. The plot is about a his missing daughter, a bunch of rebels, drug runners and a corrupt military officer. Never mind the plot, the far out fight scenes and just enjoy the movie.

Highly recommended for Stephen Seagal fans.

GOOD FILM WITH SEAGAL
