Raindrops keep falling on my head

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is an entertaining film starring Robert Redford as "The Kid", Paul Newman as Butch and Katharine Ross as Etta Place.  Loosely based upon the exploits of the real trio who left the dry and dusty southwest to try their luck in South America.  These two fun loving rascals love to party and booze their money away and when it runs out they just rob another train.  After robbing one train one too many times, the rail company hires a posse to track down and eliminate the duo.  Butch dreams about Bolivia and The Kid wants to do something else besides robbing trains.  After ditching the posse they meet up with their lady Etta Place.  The three decide to head east and then take a trip down to South America.  Will their new home be a dreamland like Butch envisions it?  Can the duo stay out of trouble?  What kind of banks are in a country like Bolivia?  I recommend you check out Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Paul Newman and Robert Redford make an excellent tea, and Katharine Ross is hot as Etta.  I found this movie to be fun and I love the chemistry between the three leads.  The sepia scenes really add a sense of
authenticity and the soundtrack is quite effective.  Even the cheesy music montage of "Rain Drops Keep Falling on My Head" didn't detract from the film.  If you like westerns or are a big fan of Robert Redford or Paul Newman then you wont want to pass this one up.

Followed by the television movie starring Katharine Ross as Etta Place in "Wanted! The Sundance Woman".

Why do people like this film?
People enjoy this classic because of the remarkable relationship between Cassidy and the Kid. The story is by no means unique, so it is their interaction that draws viewers. The two, especially Cassidy, have a childlike happy relationship, without any jealousy, and they approach everything with wide-eye delight, wonderment, and fun. The Kid's girl friend is friendly to both although only intimate with the Kid, and this causes no tension. She is the mature party among the trio. All of this is …
