A Quick Tip by TStocksl

I just saw Hugo last night. I have now seen 3 best picture nominees including Moneyball and The Help, each an excellent movie, but Hugo made me happiest to be alive. This is a must see movie.

I know the recommendation "made me happiest to be alive" may seem like an odd recommendation for a movie, but that was really the way I felt walking out of the movie.   Has anyone else felt a similar reaction to this movie?  I would be curious to hear your response. 

The scenes of Paris were spectacular, the confines of the train station where almost all the action takes place seemed both huge and compressed, both industrial and natural, like a landscape under roof. 

The cinematography was excellent, including the 3-D effects, but the story is what drives the movie.  And the story is a grand story about having a purpose and finding a purpose in life.  But don't categorize this as a  "kids movie", or a "three-D movie", or -- don't categorize this, just watch it, and see if it makes you happy to be alive.
