This is without a doubt my favorite Jet Li film. I love everything about it; the story, themes, and incredible action scenes. Review coming soon. (hopefully)

This is one of my favorite martial arts flims. What I liked about this film over say the films of the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon ilk is that the fights looks real and not like a choreographed dance. So when are you going to publsh your review?

You hit all the right points. This is Jet Li at his best. I'm not exactly sure when I'll do the review, but I'll let you know. It most likely will be when I get into my usual martial arts kick. I have several martial arts movies I been wanting to rewatch.

Jet Li is such a personification of success that if you have the chance to know more about his personal works and life attitudes outside his acting career, you'd be truly impressed! One awesome individual!

Yeah, he's a pretty cool guy, but as far as films go, I prefer his more serious works, than the slapstick fu flicks.

Jet Li's Last Martial Arts Film Is Restored, Re-Edited And Released In All Its Glory!
FEARLESS is one of the BEST Kung Fu films I've seen in a long time. The film is based on the real-life tale of the legendary Huo Yuan Jia, founder of the Jin Wu Martial Arts Federation. Up to this day, is still considered to be one of best established Kung Fu schools. "Fearless" is among Jet Li's best; right up there with his most memorable roles as Wong Fei Hung and Fong Sai Yuk. Some may say that "Fearless" is a prequel (of sorts) to Bruce Lee's "Fist of Fury" …

Great display of wushu, the story line is ok but the fight scenes are awesome and well coreographed*

This is one of the best martial arts films I have seen! This is a film that didn't give into the hokey symbolism and fantasy that seems to be prevalent in a lot of the Chinese period movies about the late 1800's. Instead we have an honest story that teaches lessons about friendship and good sportsmanship. What makes this movie even better is that we are told that the film is based on a true story.       Jet-Li is a Wu-shu champion who was deeply upset when his father lost a Wu-shu …

Jet Li's 'Fearless' has all the best aspects you'd want from an Asian movie: combat with stunning movies that shuffle the deck, ancient, wise lessons, and exquisite beauty that lingers on like a butterfly. 'Fearless' does all of this and more. The film focuses on a likable protagonist, Hao Yuanjita (Li) who is at the top of his "wushi" discipline, and so successful is he that everyone in town wants to be his apprentice.    The movie takes place at the turn of the last century …

What can us viewers do to change your mine?...O well I got to say that director Ronny Yu has made the right choice of casting Jet Li as Huo Yuan Jia, after Jet portrays Huang Fei Hong in his remarkable `Once Upon A Time Trilogy.' This has once again strengthened the image of Jet Li as the Chinese hero among the Chinese around the world. This is a glorified tribute to the famous Shanghai martial arts master, Huo Yuanjia. The above subject has also been visited by Jet himself in `Fist of the Legend.' …

Jet Li has been an impressive presence in film as a martial arts practitioner and choreographer both in his native China and in his US films. He has selected FEARLESS as his final film as a martial artist and a better choice of story for a final bow could not be imagined.     Based on the life of Chinese Martial Arts Master Huo Yuanjia (1869-1910), the founder and spiritual leader of the Jin Wu Sports Federation still in existence internationally, Jet Li acts the role of Huo …

About this movie

Wiki

A moving and inspiring story of redemption and personal triumph in the face of great odds,Jet Li's Fearlessis the based-on-facts story of Chinese folk hero Huo Yuanjia (Jet Li). The son of a martial-arts master whose greatest strength was his restraint, Huo grows into an unbeatable fighter whose pride and thoughtlessness lead to a chain of tragic losses. After a classic wanderer-in-the-wilderness penance, Huo reinvents himself as a mature instructor of Wushu, a martial arts system that embraces all forms of fighting without preference or pre-judgement. He also becomes a populist symbol, at the dawn of the 20th century, of China's refusal to entirely capitulate to the boot of Western colonialists. Taking on whatever European, American, or Japanese fighter the outsiders bring in to demoralize the natives, Huo becomes a legend that, in real life, is still revered. Thrillingly directed by Ronny Yu (Warriors of Virtue),Jet Li’s Fearlessis a dazzling action movie that transcends its breathless fight sequences with Huo's sportsmanship virtues, i.e., knowing when you've won by example, rather than by the fist. Jet Li is superb in the role.--Tom Keogh
