Megaforce? More like Megaflop.

Megaforce is a cheesy and very bad action film brought to you by Golden Harvest and Hal Needham.  The success of The Cannonball Run paved way for this big international production.  The actors looked like they were having fun but I wasn't  Barry Bostwick mugged his way throughout the movie.  Henry Silva acted as if he has IBS.  Persis Khambatta (the bald chick from Star Trek: the movie) sleep walks through her role (just like in the Star Trek movie) and the hokey special effects just made matters worse.  I couldn't believe it that the film cost over $20,000,000 to make (but I did believe that it only made back is than a 1/4 of it back).  The film seems to have been deleted from Golden Harvest's catalog because the film wasn't released on VCD.  A terrible film that might please fans of nostalgic 80's films.

If you are interested in more Golden Harvest productions then check out Deadly Eyes (a horror movie about rats), Death Hunt (Charlie Bronson fugitive flick), High Road to China, The Protector, Lassiter, The Big Bet (T & A comedy), Better Late Than Never, Big Brawl, Cannonball I & II and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trilogy.
Megaforce? More like Megaflop.

About this movie

Filmed in and near Las Vegas, Nevada.

The film was a huge box office bust for Golden Harvest.  The film Wheels on Meals was switched around to avoid having the letter "M" as a title because the studio head Raymond Chow was very superstitions and didn't want to suffer another major flop.
