This movie easily outshines the short lived TV sequel and the first two cinematic projects. The action is nothing short of spectacular and the effects are as good as any of the top action films that have come out in the last few years.

Some of the plot reminded me of True Lies (Cruz can't tell his wife what he really does for a living and she only know that he has to go out of town frequently) and really starts to hone in on Cruz's psyche.

The kidnapping of the bad guy in the seemingly super secure Vatican was amazing and I am surprised that the Vatican let it be shot since it could give would be real bad guys ideas.

When this film was first announced it was met with skepticism and with the constant bad press Tom Cruise had received over the months this movie was destined to fail. That was before we had the chance to see this stellar combination in action; Tom Cruise reprising his role as Ethan Hunt and Philip Seymour Hoffman taking the role as the main bad guy, arms dealer Owen Davian. These two great actors combined together with the unique and talented Directional mind of J.J. Abrams this movie shut all the …

`Mission Impossible: 3' is a chase marathon. An explosive adventure filled with wild goose chases--and just plain wild chases--this globe trotting adventure will please anyone not interested in seeing characters catch their breath. The plot is opaque, but uncomplicated: To avenge the death of colleague, Lindsey (Julie Harris), Ethan (Cruise) finds little time to consummate his honeymoon after taking vows with Julia (Michelle Monaghan), and, instead infiltrates the Vatican and Shanghai to catch his …

The reason for the success of MI I and MI II, for this viewer, was the sophisticated, scientific devices and plans used to manipulate evil by good. It was always a pleasure to watch the superior minds win. But somehow MI III seems far more interested in pyrotechniques and mass explosions and derring-do than for smart ideas and for that reason it seems less successful - but then that may be the result of watching it on the home television instead of the vast spaces of a theatrical screen. The …

Pros: Plot, characters; and oh yes Tom Cruise. Cons: A few loose threads in the plot. The Bottom Line: Mission: Impossible III is a winner in my book. Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie''s plot. Say what you will about Tom Cruise the man, the legend in his own misguided mind, but as an actor there are few better. The man brings an intensity, a bravado, a self-assurance to the screen that few other …

Pros: Good setup, some godo action early in the film. Cons: Cruise is not passable as an action star, tons of plot wholes. The Bottom Line: Dont waste your time. Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie''s plot. The summer movie season of 06 is underway with the release of “Mission Impossible 3”which once again stars Tome Cruise as agent Ethan Hunt. The film opens with a tense interrogation scene …

J.J. Abrams, creator of small-screen hits ALIAS and LOST, makes his feature film debut with the third installment of this successful series based on the hit 1960s television show. Secret Agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) has decided to take it easy and lead a somewhat normal life. He's even found his perfect woman, Julia (Michelle Monaghan), and is engaged. But when newbie agent Lindsey Farris (Keri Russell)--whom Hunt mentored--goes missing while on assignment, the reluctant agent finds himself back in business. Soon, with his old buddy Luther (Ving Rhames) in tow, along with team members Zhen (Maggie Q) and Declan (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), Hunt is traversing the globe on the trail of Farris's captor, Owen Davian (Philip Seymour Hoffman), an elusive international weapons dealer. The stakes increase when the villainous Davian gets a hold of Hunt's fiancie and uses her as a bargaining chip.

A raucous combination of spectacular chases, explosions, amazing stunts, and elaborate schemes takes the Imposs...
