'Salem's Lot is an interesting concept that failed to arise to the occasion. Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of the novel. When I watched the mini-series I was bored. It was so dry. The series lacked everything that made the book interesting. Gone were all the interesting sub-plots, scenes involving the different characters and the feel of the novel is sorely lacking. At least the movie edit was faster and I didn't have to sit through three hours of Tobe Hooper going through the motions. Hey, …

Tobe Hooper's made-for-television adaptation of the best selling Stephen King novel.  Originally was going to be directed by George A. Romero but Universal backed out of the project at the last minute.
