"The Adjustment Bureau" is one of the first truly great films of this already fledgling year and it is such a shame that such a great premise, a strong cast and highly intelligent writing goes no further than it should. This fantastic film lacks the courage to be daring. To put itself out there on a limb and truly express itself as a piece of filmmaking nirvana Instead, "The Adjustment Bureau” stays safely in its comfort zone for a science fiction film inspired by a short story by Phillip K. Dick this film should have been far more daring than it was. For what it was "The Adjustment Bureau" is solid, thoroughly mind boggling entertainment that works on all levels even when they do not go to any new heights.
