For some reason, the combination of vampires and teenagers was very popular amongst movie-goers in the '80s and this is a perfect example of why. Here you have a group of kids who having formed a monster club are the only ones with the knowledge to face off against Dracula, the Wolfman, Gillman, and the Mummy. Frankenstein's Creature is along for the ride, though he becomes an ally for the kids as they must battle it out with the monsters in order to save the world from falling into darkness. The film flopped both critically and commercially when it was released but has since become a cult classic. Think of it as a cross between House of Dracula, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein, and The Goonies.

It is. I re-watched it recently as part of an '80s vampire film marathon and was surprised at how well it stood up.

A great kids frightfest that has the Creature From The Black Lagoon, Mummy, Wolfman, Frankenstein & a really hot & sexy Dracula with his female coven! A passel of oddball kids fight the dark forces of evil in …
