Beware of alien mutated carrots from the Artic!

The Thing is a science-fiction horror film that was loosely based upon the short story "Who Goes There?" An Artic polar expedition team is holed up inside a U.S. Base. Some members from the team discover an alien craft and some strange alien life form. Being the nosy bunch that they are, they bring the strange life form back to the base and try to experiment with it. The crew learns the lesson that "somethings were just never meant to be fooled with" the hard way. James Arness makes an early appearance as a mean and nasty space creature. A superior remake was made thirty-one years later by John Carpenter.
