American Idol Alum Casey James Releases First Country Single

Country newcomer and American Idol Season Nine alum Casey James recently released his first single, “Let’s Don’t Call It A Night.” Yes, you read that right – James is asking, in his own clever way, for some lucky lady to agree to extend a romantic rendezvous through the entire night, singing “the way your body’s moving slowly to the music only leaves me wanting more.” And after hearing this song, it would be hard for any girl to say no to James’ request.

While grammar lovers may feel more comfortable with lyrics like, “please don’t call it a night,” or even “let’s not call it a night,” James’ creative twist of lyrics work. The song is catchy, soulful and smooth. The Texas native’s first single is a welcome blend of sensual vocals, similar to a mix of Josh Turner’s “Your Man” or Chris Young’s “Little Black Dress.”  Country music lovers and rockers alike (James performed a duet with musical inspiration Brett Michaels on Idol) will welcome this song and hunger for more.

On his Twitter page (@caseyejames), 29 year old James describes himself as a simple family man that loves music, family, Jesus Christ, and friends … and dogs. He’ll soon have to add “fans” to that list, as his first single is certain to rekindle his relationship with his Idol fans and garner a slew of new followers. Earlier this year, James joined Sugarland on a leg of their popular “Incredible Machine Tour” and he is currently working on his first album.

Thank you very much for this positive review! Casey still has a whole slew of fans who supported him on Idol and have never stopped! He really is one of the most talented artists, if not THE most talented one to come out of Idol. He was not allowed, on Idol, to do music like he does for us now at his live shows. Those judges only saw just a little sliver of what Casey is about! His music slides over into different genres with no problem, but at the end of the day, he's a country artist with a lot of blues influence. We are all very excited for Casey's future, and believe that this is just the beginning, cause he is about to rock America with all his fantastic music! So keep watching for Casey!! Thanks again!! :)

Thanks for the nice review of Casey James. i was drawn to him for his character and dignity he displayed in response to cutting remarks of judges on Idol and especially drawn to his guitar skills. after hearing him play live and watching the u-tube videos of various concerts posted by fans..and he has a group of hard core fans.. i know that idol barely scratched the surface of this young mans talent. truly, he just keeps getting better and better. his own songs are my favorite, but even cover songs become his own. he makes his own imprint on whatever he plays. in the very beginning i was not so sure, but gradually more..and now i will be a fan of Casey James as long as my heart keeps beating. he's in there!

This is a great review of Casey' s new single. I am so excited that the public is getting reaquainted with Casey's music. Although he already has many fans that has stayed with him since A. Idol. He now has the opportunity to really show his multi-talent as a singer/songwriter and musician. He is sure to gain many more fans as he let's his true talent shine... :)

I have to tell you, there are many fans who first saw Casey on Idol who have not stopped their support of him. This is a great review and really touches on what makes this single a joy to listen to. This is just the tip of the iceberg for Casey. He has many styles that I hope will be represented on his CD, which is suppose to be coming out in January. The faithful fans can't wait. If you get a chance to see Casey live, do NOT pass it up.
