Drudkh is a black metal band from Kharkiv, Ukraine, formed in 2002.
Drudkh is one of the best black metal bands to form in the last decade, and this is so because they create such distinctive black metal soundscapes that paint such perfect mental pictures of Ukrainian history, paganism, and of the woods in Eastern Europe. Aside from creating such feelings, Drudkh also incorporates a lot of tasteful musical nuances in their songs (like melodic guitar solos) to make it stand out more from many other black metal bands. The band has also made an instrumental, acoustic folk album that perfectly shows the band's talent in being able to craft different styles of music really well.
To get a taste of what Drudkh has to offer, here's the songs "Solitude," "Glare of 1768," and "Sunset in Carpathians."
