A fun and elegant iPod

Leave it to Apple to come up with another beautiful, sleek ipod. This has to be the nicest one yet. My old ipod is a second or third generation classic type, so this is a big step forward. I can't believe how thin and light it is. It seems many generations ahead of my old one (Which is still in remarkable shape) The thing I like best about this ipod is the touch screen and how responsive it is. Being able to zoom in on web pages with just a tap is a great feature as is being able to rotate the screen by turning it.

The wifi feature is great and you can download all sorts of applications directly to your ipod. In addition it is compatible with Nike +. So if you have the shoes you just slip in the sensor and the sensor communicates wirelessly with your iPod touch. It tracks your distance, time and how many calories you've burned, all automatically. I'm going to have to look into getting those. The technology seems so cool!

There are so many features available in this ipod that I probably will never use them all but the one thing I really like is being able to view photos and the fact that it will hold so many of them. You can sync your pictures from iPhoto on a Mac or Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Photoshop Album on a PC. Then view them as thumbnails to find the photo you want and tap to view it full screen. You can also turn the ipod to see it in landscape view. The colors and images are so crisp and bright, it's better than carrying around a paper photo album. Especially when you consider that it can hold something like 25,000 photos.

The only thing I've found that could use improvement so far is the sound of the speakers. But considering the small, sleek size of this ipod, it isn't something I would complain about. I always listen with headphones anyway, but the speakers are probably there more for the games than music. I got a Speck PixelSkin  case which  I also got an iKross 3-Pakc LCD Screen Protector for it.i

All in all, this is a fantastic piece of technology and I'm glad I purchased it.

The connection to our home wifi network Linksys wireless router was a breeze, it took about 3 minutes. That was how long it took to type in the password. It saw the network right away. I downloaded a couple games, something I don't normally do, but just wanted to see the technology and it's pretty amazing. This is nothing like my old ipod. The touch screen is so cool.

Great review!! I love the details about the connection with the Nike shoes and all the stats you can get- I never knew this was even possible! Perhaps it's time for me to upgrade my ipod ;). How are the earphones? I can't stand the ones that came with my ipod Nano- really considering buying these iharmonix ones to replace them.

I love that Nike + feature. It makes me want to buy both products, even though my track record would suggest neither would be used to the extent they deserve.

i pod touch
The iPod Touch is clearly the iPhone's little brother. Like most Apple products, the Touch shows the love of loyal designers, hardware engineers, and usability experts. The iPod Touch measures a slim 4.3 inches by 2.4 inches by 0.31 inch, with an all-metal-and-glass design that feels as expensive as it looks.     On the front all you see is a single button and that revolutionary touch screen interface surrounded by black trim. It is hands down the most uncluttered and simple …

I have had the IPT for a few months and wanted road test this product before I reviewed it. This is my first ipod, though I have another small/featureless mp3 player for running. I am not a big fan of Apple products in general - but this is another story. The IPT is amazing. I am surprised at how much I use it. I don't have a car adapter, so my use is typically not when I'm driving. I use it 75% of the time for music and 25% for the other applications. I would recommend looking at the app reviews …

There are many reviews out on the web for the IPOD Touch but still I know there are people out there that are  wondering if this darn thing is "for them".  Let me give you My Mom POV.    First off, the Ipod Touch is remarkably small so it's no problem to tote around.  It fits in a small purse or belly-bag; even your jean's or sweatpant's pocket.      The Touch came with everything I needed with two exceptions which I'm going …
