Creatine is one of the nutritional/performance supplements that I am the most familiar with. I had used it in the past in various forms when I was really trying to increase my strength, and have generally had pretty good results. I've used it in various forms, primarily as a powder or as a part of energy bars or drinks. The powdered creatine is pure and it doesn't come with all the nutritional add-ons, such as sugars and fats. However, it can be pretty messy to deal with, and in my experience I could never dissolve it completely in liquid. So when I came across these pills, it seemed like a good option to try.

I've followed their dosing instructions exactly. That means that I was taking five pills a day five times a day for five days straight. At first I was a bit concerned with drinking that many pills, especially the ones that are as big as these, but they turned out to be very soft and very easy to swallow. These days I am not lifting weights all that much, a couple of times a week at the most, but even with this very scaled down exercise regimen I was able to see very significant results just after a few days of use. It is naturally very easy for me to gain strength, but getting on Creatine supplements only serves to speed up this process even more. I had felt much stronger and bigger and was able to lift more than I had been doing these days. The only adverse effect that this supplement has had on me was the increased dehydration and the dryness in my mouth. Other than that, I had not seen any other problems.

I want to point out that I don't have the detailed knowledge of the biological and physiological effects of Creatine, especially in the long run and for people who have various health issues. My intention when writing this review was to give the information on my own brief personal experience with this product. It has been very positive as far as the intended purpose is concerned. Your own experience might vary, and I would strongly advise you to monitor your progress as you use this product and inform yourself about it from as many sources as possible.

Source:http://weighttraining.about.com/b/2007/10/02...and-efficacy-review.htm Creatine is one of the most widely used performance supplements in sports and fitness training. But does it work, is it safe, and how much do you need to take? Much has been written about creatine supplements for weight training, bodybuilding and for power sports such as sprinting, football and baseball. Yes, it seems to provide modest improvements in bulk, strength and the ability to train harder -- but not for everyone. In about 20 to 30% of users it just doesn't seem to do much. And yes, it does have its problems, even though mostly they are not life-threatening and at least some are probably related to taking more than is recommended. Even so, the long-term effects on kidney health have not been established with certainty and people with existing or suspected kidney disease should not take creatine. Taking creatine in high school or college for sports is not such a great idea either and the American College of Sports Medicine recommends against it. Read more about this popular supplement.
