The BOB Revolution is a terrific stoller. I did quite a bit of research before purchasing my stoller. I initially wanted one that I was going to use for jogging, more specifically to train for a 1/2 marathon so it had to hold up since I would be training with my then, 6mo. old son (he is now 18mo) and be logging 15-30 miles a week on avg. This stoller is durable and feels durable without feeling clunky. Nothing on this stroller seems cheap in function or fashion. It is pricey- ranging from about 375-425$ depending on the features and where you get it from. However, I was able to convince both my husband and myself to spend that money because I was confident it would get great use and carry us through the years. It also has a jump seat you can purchase through the company to add a toddler seat in the front and still carry a newborn in the under portion if you need to turn it into a double stroller of sorts. I thought this was a very great feature so we wouldn't have to buy another stoller in the future as our family would hopefully grow! Another thing, the BOB is THE ONLY TRUE JOGGER that backs it'self to actually be used for jogging. I found out that other joggers may be called joggers but that the company doesn't actually back it as being used strictly for jogging and hold all it's warranty's like BOB does.
The BOB Revolution has great wheels that can come larger (16") than most for smoother rides on rougher terrains. Another feature I didn't even realize BOB had until all my friends with other stollers marveled at was how LARGE the CANOPY is on the stroller to block wind/sun. It also has a good sized window and flap to be able to view your baby from above without stopping and moving to the front of the stoller. You can purchase extra coverage and shields but the canopy is so great that unless I was out in rain/snow I don't think it would be needed on the BOB.
It also has a wonderful reclining position that allowed for my 6mo. old son to sleep soundly and still have a smooth ride on a jog. Even now, if we are out and about and my son falls asleep I just gently recline him and fold the flap down from the window peek and let him sleep. And if I want to see him I just reopen the flap from above. It doesn't come with a cup holder but I purchased a soft-easy to attach double cup holder and pouch for 20$. The basket underneath is of perfect size- big enough to put a purse in or a blanket/snacks etc when you are out and about.
It is easy to fold up. I have opened it up while holding my son and done it with one hand and a quick snap action. And my husband really likes it, as he is 9" taller than I and can comfortable stroll with him, too.
The BOB is a little bit heavier-making it feel sturdy, but not clunky. I run with one hand but when the wheel is locked and I need to make a turn I do require two hands most of the time. However,I can easily manuever the stoller one handed when the front wheel is not locked if we are out running errands.
This stoller is a great overall stroller but I would not recommend it for someone just looking for a stroller to run errands or walk leisurely around a city. I use it to run errands with all the time and it works great as well as run miles. And although this is a fabulous stroller and insanely comfortable for your child, if you aren't going to actually use it for running, then a smaller, less pricey stroller may fit your lifestyle better. Something like the City Jogger or a Maclaren would probably be more suitable. BUT, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great stoller that is very versatlie and will grow with you and your child. I don't regret getting this stroller for one minute and am extremely pleased with this product-hands down!
