I analyzed the double stroller decision to death and am so happy with the purchase of my BJCCD. We've had it over a year now and it is the perfect double for us. We live in the city and walk everywhere, so air tires were a must. My older son is also very tall, so I needed a stroller that would accommodate him. He is 41 inches tall and can still slep in our BJCCD fully extended. When he is sitting his legs can lay flat because there is so much legroom and he still has plenty of room before his head reaches the canopy.
I love:
the separate HUGE canopies
the one-step and compact fold
the plastic footrest (does not get dirty)
the easy recline mechanism
the large mesh pockets behind the seats and the large basket underneath
the seats can be pretty upright or flat
the divider between the seats (to keep the kids out of trouble)
the adjustable handlebar
great steering
one handed-steering
fits through any standard doorway
Cons:
heavy to lift
takes up my entire trunk
lists to the side of the heavier child
a bit harder to push with heavier kids
not as solid as other strollers I have owned
All in all I love it because the cons do not really affect our use as we rarely need to get it into our car. This stroller has been discontinued. I have the 09 version in black/stone. I would highly recommend getting the parent console. We also have the rain canopy and use it a lot in the winter when it is windy.
I highly recommend this stroller or the BJCED to parents with tall children.
