Not the best hub in terms of price/practicality, but it does the job...

I have far more devices than I have USB plugs in my computer, so getting the Belkin Ultra Slim Aluminium Series 7-Port USB 2.0 Hub was an easy decision. It's a solid device that gets the job done for me, and I haven't had any issues with it in my set-up. It probably wouldn't be my first choice, however...
Setup was easy... I just plugged it into the computer and the drivers loaded automatically. The seven ports are well-placed for easy access, which makes adding and removing USB plugs quick. Transfer speeds and charging capabilities seem to be comparable to direct USB plug-in to my computer, so no complaints there. It's on the spendy side, so I don't know that this would be my first choice if I were looking for a basic, everyday USB hub. The design, while it looks sleek when it's sitting next to the computer, slides around a lot as there's no "base" that gives it stability. I ended up putting a strip of masking tape across the backside to secure it to the desk. Granted, it's not pretty, but it works to keep it in one place.
The Belkin USB hub definitely fills the bill when it comes to a functioning hub to expand your USB port capacity. You can find cheaper units that will do the same thing, and you can also find hubs that will stay in one place far easier than this one. But if someone handed this to you, or if you got a good deal on it, I wouldn't say no...
