Benefit Erase Paste

Benefit Erase Paste is easily the best concealer/base I've ever used. And I've used them all.
@amyrn75 is 100% correct when she says it can cover anything.

Erase Paste is a creamy and somewhat heavy concealer that can cover everything from acne, to scars, to birthmarks to tattoos (I actually blotted out an entire tattoo on my hip with it just to see if it really worked--it did.)

I could gush about it, but instead of pushing my opinions I'll try to organize a pro and con list

  • It really covers anything
  • It is creamy and mallleable so you can blend however much or little you'd like
  • It has a highlighting quality and can be used as a brightener or highlighter
  • A little bit goes a long way
  • It is affordable at $26 a pop. (I know that's more expensive than drugstor concealers but it will last and works wonders--some high-end concealers will run you into the 50s
  • It goes on smooth, giving even the most pocked complexion a smooth base
  • Although it is a heavy cream, you can use very little and not look made up or cakey
  • It only comes in 3 shades so it is up to you to blend it to match your skin color
  • To acheive a perfect blend you will need a powder to set it--if you don't it could come off on clothes or phones
  • All your friends will want to use some and before you know you'll need more
If you are reading this wondering if you could benefit from Erase Paste here is my unsolicited advice... I was slightly weary of the price but for all the money I've spent on concealers that didn't work this will pay for itself tenfold. And if you are still not convinced go to any store that sells it and test it first. I bought mine at an Ulta but I'd guess that you can get it at any Ulta, Sephora, department store cosmetics counter or of course the Benefit store itself.

Your review has really helped me since I've been on the fence about trying this concealer because of the price and the lack of selection. I'm very fair with yellowish undertones and I have a really hard time finding foundations and concealers that work well with my complexion. Although it is $26, Ulta usually has weekly coupons for $3.50 to $5.00 off and this product would essentially be doing the work of two, as an undereye and blemish concealer, which I currently use two products for now. Thanks for your helpful review!

This stuff sounds amazing!  I've yet to find any concealer that I love, so it looks like I'll be checking this out the next time I'm at Sephora!  What kind of powder do you use to set this with?

By the way, if you're ever looking for a blush and/or lip tint, you should check out this review of Benetint, also by Benefit.  I checked it out at Sephora after reading that review and got myself a bottle!
