Pros: Convenience, durability and inexpensive and easy to use.

Cons: Some people are unhappy with this because they cannot get it to work properly.

The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this to any homeowner that has animals and has a lot of spots to clean up.

My wife and I owned the large Bissell upright steam cleaner, and we did not think that they would be able to shrink this product down to size. But, when we saw this in the store at Kmart we decided that if the price was not too expensive to give this a try. We found out that it was under $80 for the whole unit. From the outside of the box it looked pretty simple to operate. So we threw it inside of our basket, and went ahead and walk through the store and discussed whether or not we should purchase this. All of the reviews that we have seen about this, the people that had owned this before did not like it. There were not very many good remarks about it. I have owned stuff in the past, that some people just don't understand how to use them, and they end up returning it to the store. But, the stuff that I owned worked just fine and I was completely happy with them, and so far that is the case with this product. It is working just absolutely beautifully. This is basically to be used on small stains and accidents that will arise in every day living.

This Bissell steam canister vacuum is not very big. It is only 13 3/4" in height, 8 1/4 inches wide, and only weighs 9.65 pounds, it only takes 3 amps to operate to the cord length is approximately 15 to 20 feet long, and the hose length is 5 1/2 feet. This is basically made of white and green translucent plastic. It has two tanks on it, one on the right hand side and one on the left hand side, that way you can see through just enough to see the water level in each tank. The tank capacity is 0.38 of a gallon. Plus you can just operate this off of 110 Volt A/C service. It also comes with a Green hose that you can wrap around the base of this unit and click into place when you have to store this when not in use.

There are a lot of nice features on this miniature steam vacuum, which include a nice long power cord, a centrally located power switch, a solution clean water tank, and a collection dirty water tank, a decently long vacuum flexible hose, a tough stain brush, at the ends of your flexible hose with a trigger sprayer, and the inside of the collection tank where the dirty accumulates there is a float assembly. All of these parts are PVC free. This whole unit is basically made of recycled plastic. That is what is meant by PVC free. There is not much to the assembly of this unit and the only thing that I had to do was install the hose clip by using a Philips screwdriver. You will also receive what they call a tuff stain removing tool. This is basically a hard bristle brush that goes on the end of the flexible hose. This also has rotating brushes in the head. While you are using this, you will notice that it will clean up to a 3 to 6 inch swipe while applying pressure.

This is basically simple to clean. When you are done using it just empty out the existing water out of both tanks (clean water and solution and dirty water) and rinse both of these tanks out with clean warm water. Plus you also have checked to spray nozzle to make sure that it is not plugged up. You may have to clean it with a little hand scrub brush. As for the base of this operating unit and everything else on it just use a damp cloth to wipe it down and then dry it off with a dry cloth.

Types of Uses
There are several types of uses for this product. I have used it on a couch, a recliner the carpeting inside my car, and the stairs in my house and even wood floors. I have even hit my kitchen and dining room chairs with this unit, and I have yet to have a problem. I have three dogs that are always doing something by having accidents or accidentally throwing up and I am always cleaning up little spots, but once in a while, I have to do a whole lot of cleaning to get the whole rug clean. That is when I use my big Bissell cleaner. What is exceptionally nice is the fact that on the handle of the handheld nozzle is a sprayer lever, that while you are working it back and forth, you can spray the solution on the stain and in the same motion it is sucking the dirty and contaminated soil out of your carpet or off of your floor. This is excellent for spot cleaning. I have found that if you think that you have a really tough stain to save yourself some time. If you know that you are going to do some spots scrubbing them priests of the spot with something to make your life a lot easier.

This product comes with a one-year limited warranty, in which the Bissell company will repair or replace free of charge, from the date of purchase by the original purchase any defective parts of this unit. You can either call them on their 1- 800-number, which is 1-800-237-7691 or you can contact their customer service department through their website at www.bissell.com.

Ultimate Conclusion
If you remember that this unit is for basically small spills and small stains only. I think you will be very happy with this unit. But if you expect this to do a whole living room carpeting. I don't think you will be happy at all. Do not expect too much from this because it is just used were small spots and little areas. It is very nice to just reach into your closet or where you have the store to and grabbed a small unit other than dragging out the big daddy to do a small area. I would highly recommend this for any homeowner is very durable and easy to clean plus not that expensive.
