In the first story of this series, I mentioned that I had very much enjoyed the story although I felt it could have progressed a bit slower. I also noted that the writing style could use some work despite the great potential it had. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the writer really improved on any of these negative aspects. However, he also didn't fail to continue to deliver an excellent albeit fast-moving storyline.
The story continues where the previous story left off. The two runners have been caught by the cops after doing some breaking and entering. However, while en route to the police station, the cop cars that are taking the runners to jail are attacked by the people who had previously been chasing the runners! Strangely enough, these people don't harm the runners; instead, they order them to keep running!
I can't tell much more of the story without giving a lot away. This download, like the first, is very short; and, once again, because the author tries to cram so much into this short length, the writing sometimes comes across as a bit elementary and rushed. If the author would slow down and develop each scene more, the writing would benefit so much from it.
The typos weren't as abundant as in the last download, but they were still there. It's nothing a quick proofread by a friend couldn't fix, and it didn't detract from the story that much.
Overall, the storyline was just as good as the previous one, and I really loved the ending, but the writing style still needs a lot of work. If you liked the first portion of this series, then definitely give this one a try. I will be reading the third installment, but if there is no improvement, I'll be giving the rest of the series a pass.
