Stacy Hawkins Adams' COMING HOME showcases that challenges sometime lead you back to where you ought to be
Apr 23, 2012
Have you ever felt as though you were living a life that was foreign to you and all you wanted was to get back to where things were familiar and you felt safe? That is the mood that bestselling author Stacy Hawkins Adams' conjures up in her newest page-turner COMING HOME. There we are able to meet characters who have taken many different paths but been led back to where things could be resolved and peace can be made.
Dayna is the character that many will find themselves resonating with. She has been betrayed by the man she loves, all while building up her professional life in a way that few could rival. At the end of the day, however, all she really wants is to be loved.
After her husband leaves her for the mistress and remarries, Dayna begins the self-evaluation of herself and her faults and where she goes from there. Eventually she is able to move on, but has she really?
This is put to the test when a strange twist of fate brings her ex-husband and his new wife into her lives in an unusual way, thus opening up a wound that doesn't seem to have entirely healed.
What COMING HOME does for me is showcase one of the basic points of the book, and that is that you sometimes have to be broken down so that you can be repaired the right way. This is true for Dayna and her new love and the forgiveness she wants to give to her husband for the betrayal.
For me the book helps all of us to realize that as long as there is breath in our bodies we have the opportunity to live the life we were intended to live and to make a mends where we know there is trouble. All of the characters we meet are changed because of this, and that gives hope for the reader as well.
Crafted in such a way that it speaks to your very core, COMING HOME leads you from an entertaining read to a story you will want to share.
