Insight into a Challenging Issue from the Author's Personal Experience

  • Sep 3, 2012
With compassion and personal insight, Kim Ketola tackles a hard but important issue in CRADLE MY HEART. As she writes in the introduction, "In fact, one-third of women in their mid-forties have had abortions. Every year, more than 1.3 million women experience elective abortions. And nearly two-thirds of these women have some Christian religious affiliation. Based on these statistics, I believe there are 8 to 10 million Christian women who, like me, never held the baby they thought they did not want, but now wish they could have known and loved." (Page 14-15) Ketola knows this experience firsthand from her own abortion and dealing with it. Abortion is more than a medical issue and this book addresses the spiritual aspects of this matter of the heart.

With moving storytelling and Bible teaching, Ketola gives each reader three applications at the end of each chapter to Reflect, Request (pray) and Respond. Also scattered throughout the book are pointed lessons called Timeless Truths like "Listening to Jesus dispels our doubts as he cradles our hearts in his care."

CRADLE MY HEART will touch your life on many different levels. If you or someone you know has gone through abortion, you need this book.
