As the New Year approaches, many of us are thinking about getting into better shape, losing those holiday pounds, and overall, just being healthier. Now, the BEST route to take when dealing with what you drink is to just cut out soda completely, but if you are like me and love the carbonated beverages, it just doesn't seem like a very fair option.
I have tried many different diet sodas in the past, hoping that I would find at least one that I could stand the after-taste of, but I haven't had the best of luck. Coke Zero, diet Dr. Pepper, diet Sprite, Pepsi One, and all the others all have that lovely saccarin taste to them, and I couldn't handle more than a swig of the stuff.
I had tried diet Mountain Dew years ago, and thought the same thing about it as I had about the other diet sodas. I just could not bring myself to drink it. However, I recently decided to give it another shot, and I am pleased to say that the taste has improved dramatically. Maybe it is my more mature sense of taste, or maybe the creators changed it up a bit, I'm not sure. All I know is that I can now drink it, and actually prefer it over regular Dew, which I find to be too sweet and syrupy.
I know soda is not good for you, whether it is diet or not, but if you have to have a soda now and again, I recommend diet Dew. It has zero calories, zero fat, zero carbs, and zero sugars.
