Pros: Lightweight inexpensive design.

Cons: Being so small don't know how long this will last.

The Bottom Line: So far, this is very durable. I have dropped it and it keeps on working. I would highly recommend this for anyone.

Did you ever want to buy a vacuum cleaner for under $20? Well, I have found one. I didn’t like the fact that I had to use the compressed air, or canned air as everyone knows it to be. With the compressed air, all I was doing was blowing all of the dust particles around and breathing them in. I would prefer to vacuum them up and dispose of them properly. That is when I was doing some searching on the Internet and found this small hand-held cordless vacuum made by; Dirt Devil. I found it at www.Amazon.com and it was under $20, but that did not include shipping and handling. When it finally came in the mail, it was not a very big package at all. When I opened it up and looked just like the picture that I had seen on the computer.

Description
There’s not much to this, there is only a few items in the box. The vacuum itself is not much bigger in your hand and is very light, it is black and silver. The end of this will come off and acts as a cup to collect the dust and dirt in. There is a small filter inside of this cup that you will have to check all of the time. Otherwise it will become clogged in time and decrease in productivity as time goes on. You will also receive a charging unit with an AC adapter and a brush attachment. All of this will sit neatly in the base charging unit when not in use. This handheld vacuum has no bags to mess with just a cup with a half inch nozzle and dust brush that you can use to suck up any dust or crumbs that fall on your keyboard or in any type crevices on your computer. This vacuum has a 3.6 V motor, and does a very effective job. You do not need much when all you’re doing is a little dusting.

Features
The nice feature about this vacuum is the fact that it is a bag-less and cordless vacuum. This vacuum also comes equipped with a head in the shape of a dusting brush. When you turn the unit on. It sucks the air through a half inch nozzle standard filtration system, which is a paper filter. Which of course you will have to eventually replace. This unit has a standard grip handle so that when you go to turn it on the button is right underneath your thumb. If you are worried about the suction power. You do not need very much, but there is 3.6 V’s that run through the motor, and you do not have to worry about your hands getting tired from the weight of this thing, because it only weighs one quarter of a pound.

Uses
I have found several uses for this, and some of them come in very handy. I purchased this so that I could do my keyboard for my computer, but I have found other uses since I had gotten this. I have used it on the console in my car. In those tiny crevices that always get little crumbs or particles and fall down in the deep cracks of your car. I have also used it on my desk top pencil sharpener because it has a drawer, that when I pull it out always leaves shavings all over the place. This vacuum is so compact that you can fit it just about anywhere, you can hide it out of the way. I have had no problem with it is sucking up any debris, the power in this vacuum is sufficient. It is very easy to empty the cup to dump all the debris out, just by squeezing the sides pulling the cup away from the body and then removing the filter, then dumping the debris in the garbage. I have never had this battery rundown because of low charge. Whenever I get done using it, I just stick it to back on the charger. That way it is ready for the next time that I am ready. It also does not take up much space. I have found the most convenient place to keep it, is by attaching it to the wall. The first time that you use this vacuum. You will have to charge it for 24 hours. The indicator light will be lit, while your vacuum is charging. After it is charged, all you have to do is remove the unit from the base, press down on the power button and hold it to get the vacuum to dust out any debris. Once you release the button the vacuum will stop.

Accessories
If you were wondering if there were any accessories for this, I did a little research and found that they do sell the accessories and there are readily available. You can get also find these at www.Amazon.com. All of these accessories are reasonably priced, these include a filter assembly, instruction manual, adapter-\Chargers\cords\bulbs, anchor to bolt it to the wall, nozzle assembly, brush and bristle assembly, charger stand, you can find all of this for under $11.

Battery Disposal
The batteries that come with this unit are rechargeable nickel cadmium batteries. They do not recommend that you dispose of these by burning them or throwing them in mixed up in your regular trash, they could explode. They recommend that you get hold of your city or town, or your local waste Authority to find out if they have a recycling plan for batteries. Otherwise, if you have any comments or concern they have a website that is www.dirtdevil.com, or you can call them at 1-800-321-1134. If you do happen to get any liquid leaking from the battery and it gets on your skin or in your eyes, you must wash it immediately and seek medical attention.

Warranty
For such a small appliance or product, what did you expect a big warranty. This has the usual warranty, one-year for parts and one year for the motor. All of this is from the date on the original receipt of course. They advertise that they will replace it free of charge, if it becomes defective within the warranty. That’s kind of like you are hoping for it to go bad in the first year.

Overall Conclusion
I have been using this for a little while now, and I am very satisfied with what I have used it on. The spots that I used to have to use a toothbrush on, I use the brush accessory on this vacuum, that is doing the job now. Sometimes I use this for 20 minutes to a half an hour and the battery is still running strong. I see no reason at this time than I will ever have to call and have this replaced.
