Time to hunt some dust bunnies...

Pros: Works great, lasts forever!

Cons: Treat with care - no small children allowed!

The Bottom Line: Got a dusty keyboard? Video game console? Use wisely and you'll have dust no more!

I scanned my room one day in search of something to review. I realized my keyboard was pretty dusty, so I snatched up my can of air and realized, hey, I could review that!

Months later and minus my can of air, I’m getting around to it.

So how well does this product perform? Let’s just say my keyboard and computer are getting dusty again, so I’ll have to go buy some more.

While this isn’t the only can of compressed air out there, it’s the first one I ever purchased. My roommate of colleges days past had one, and occasionally I’d steal it to chase away all the little dust bunnies that tried to take up residence in my keyboard. Finally I decided to get a can of air for my own. That was back in 2006.

If anything, I can attest to the longevity of Falcon’s Dust-Off. I’ve had that can for a couple of years because every time you use it, it doesn’t take much more than a few well placed blasts of air to free nooks and crannies of dust and debris. While I primarily used it for my keyboard, monitor, and computer, I did sometimes use it on other things, such as my bookshelves, TV, video game consoles, and dresser top. As the can states in directions, you don’t need to hold down the trigger, just give it a squeeze here and there for a quick jet of air and you’re free of dustiness.

It won’t get rid of all dust particles though, so you may still need to wipe off your computer screen, TV screen, or desktop from time to time to get rid of the more stubborn dust particles. Still, it gets in between places (under keyboard keys) that a rag or duster can’t reach, hence its handiness.

You can use the can with or without the tiny straw that comes with it. Without the straw, you can get a general blast of air. I prefer the straw because then the air comes out in a more precise fashion, making it easier to focus on cracks and tough spots.

Because this is compressed gas in a can, if you have children be sure to keep it out of reach and make sure it hangs out in a room that stays at a decent temperature. In short, read the directions and warnings on the label and you’ll be perfectly fine. Misuse of the product, as with any product, can result in an injury. If a cashier at Wal-Mart or Staples or other office supply store asks to see an ID when purchasing this, that’s why. I got carded when attempting to buy this and had no idea why. I later found out it was because it’s potentially dangerous in the wrong hands. (and here I was just thinking it was air in a can).

It’s good stuff, and I need to buy some more. It can be found at an average price of a couple of bucks down the road at Target or CVS. If the place sells office junk, you’ll likely find dust off products. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some cleaning to do...

Pros: This will definitely clean out those tight spots that you cannot reach with your finger.     Cons: This is dangerous for small children.     The Bottom Line: This is an excellent product if in the right hands, this also beats using a Q-tip in that little area.     Knock knock. Who’s there? A tall can. A tall can, who? A tall can of air that’s who. Well, what do you expect, I did not know how to start this article out. I know, …
