Great Point and Shoot

I've had this camera for a few months now and it's a great camera for an affordable price. There are some pros and cons to consider for this camera though.

  1. Cheap & Affordable - You can find it for about 70 bucks used on Amazon.
  2. Small! - I can easily fit this camera in my pocket.
  3. Quick Startup - When you power on the camera, it's almost instant for all those moments when you you really need a quick shot of something.
  4. Picture quality - Not only is the picture quality good but the video quality is great as well and I've uploaded some videos from it without compressing or converting it straight to youtube.
  1. Switching from Camera to Video - Unfortunately, in order to do this you need to go into the Menu to switch it and it's pretty easy to inadvertently leave it on Movie when you want a Photo. Happened to me on a number of occasions.
  2. The Shutter - Sometimes when powering on the camera and I'm trying to take a photo, it takes a few tries before it registers. Could be a result of my impatience though.

So overall the pros outweigh the cons for this camera. It's not the greatest camera but it gets the job done. If you're looking for something with more bells and whistles, you're going to need to spend some more money but for the person looking for a simple point & shoot, this one is great.

The FinePix J28 helps out...a LOT!    He has another camera that is pretty good, too. The only differences between these two is 1.) Price and 2.) Resolution. However, in both cases the differences are really small. $20 price difference for 2 extra megapixels? Not really noticeable.    This camera …
