Delicious, delightful and delectable.

This Classic Collection of Green & Black's organic miniature dark and milk chocolate bars is not only of high quality but it features a nice selection of both the familiar (plain dark and milk chocolate, chocolate almond and chocolate toffee) and the unique (chocolate cherry and chocolate ginger). There are two mini bars of each flavor in the 12-bar collection.

While the box, which has a clear window to display the bars, is attractive, getting into it was a hassle. My box was taped to the hilt and, even when I got through the tape and opened what I thought was the side flap on the box, I could not immediately get into the box. When I finally did, some of the bars fell out. What looks like flaps are actually fold-downs. Why must something so simple be made so complicated? Definitely started my experience with this product off on a bad foot and therefore lost it a 1/2 star in its rating.

Thankfully, once I tasted my first bar, the experience was nothing but positive. Here is the cocoa content of each flavor:

The dark chocolate bar is 70% cocoa--deep and rich with low sweetness.

The cherry and ginger bars are both dark chocolate and 60% cocoa. They have bits of real dried cherry and ginger in them--a delightful surprise--which makes them chewier than the other bars.

The toffee is milk chocolate (34%). Delish, but I would have liked a bit more toffee chips.

The almond is milk chocolate (37%). Ditto above, but for almonds.

The milk chocolate bar is 34%. Creamy and, even at the lowest cocoa content, still not oversweet, which I very much appreciated.

Each flavor is in a different-colored wrapper and has the flavor written across the wrapper at the top, so it is pretty easy to distinguish one from the other.

Note: I suggest not eating the cherry or ginger bars along with other bars if you really want to taste the true essence of the other bars, as the cherry and ginger bits get in your teeth and will impact the taste of anything else.

The bars range from 4.5 to 7 grams of fat (2.5 to 4 grams sat fat and no trans fat) per bar and most are 80 calories. They are made in Poland. The box carries a "Fair Trade Certified" label.

This collection of chocolates would make a wonderful hostess or holiday gift.

Delicious ! How many sugar grams? Perhaps, a stevia or anise based chocolate would be better.
