Pros: Small footprint; easy to opearate; simple to use; built-in NIC.
The need for small footprint workgroup/ departmental network attached laser printers can never be overestimated in my experience. And when it comes to this class of printer, no company does it better than Hewlett Packard, and no printer has better represented this class than the HP 4000N Laser Printer. The HP 4000N is a reliable, small footprint laser printer that is relatively inexpensive to operate and easy to use.
The HP 4000N is easy to integrate into any size network thanks to the built-in JetDirect 10/100 Network Interface Card (NIC), which can be configure via the units rather small two-line backlit LCD display. The 250MHz RISC processer and 1200dpi resolution make for fast (24ppm) high quality printing from a standard 500 sheet printer tray (a stackable 500 sheet tray is available). For home office or workgroup use, the HP 4000N is a winner.
