Jason Tea Tree Oil is pure, natural, and effective. Has loads of uses!
Jan 30, 2010
Pros: Inexpensive, many uses, all natural, doesn't sting, no animal testing
Cons: Isn't a miracle in a bottle, doubt it can tackle large breafouts
The Bottom Line: Jason Natural Cosmetics Tea Tree Oil is strongly scented but works well on minor breakouts, cuts, scrapes, burns, and much more. Many uses for this pure oil!
I was told to try tea tree oil for a few blemishes that I suddenly acquired a few months ago so I bought a bottleJason Natural Cosmetics Tea Tree Oil 100% Pure 1 oz. Liquid. I didn't buy this brand because of special reason. I happen to like Jason products and it was readily available.
I have found lots of uses for this strongly scented oil and it did seem to help dry up my blemishes which, ironically, have not returned at all since.
About the Product
Australian Melaleuca Alternifolia Tea Tree Oil has anti-fungal, antibacterial, anti-viral, and antiseptic properties, which may be beneficial for colds, flu, cold sores, warts, inflammation, acne, burns, candida, foot odor, and athlete's foot. JASON naturally therapeutic 100% Pure Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia) is a medicine kit in a bottle.
This product comes in a brown one ounce bottle with the blue signature Jason label and the koala bear logo on it. The cap is white and sealed and you must break the seal the first time you open it. I like that. I like to know things have not been opened before they reach me. The scent is strong. It's very medicinal although describing tea tree oil is a task. It isn't a bad scent but it is definitely strong and medicinal. My son says it smells like a pine tree for what that's worth. That scent doesn't really last for long on the skin though. I can smell a faint hint but it dries down fast. The product is a clear, lightweight, liquid.
I knew that tea tree oil had anti bacterial properties and hoped it would help clear my blemishes. I had no intention of using it for any other reason.
I dabbed each of the three blemishes with a cotton swapped tipped into Jason Natural Cosmetics Tea Tree Oil a few times a day. The scent, as I said, was strong but faded away quite quickly. I felt no stinging or irritation and the blemished seemed noticeably less red and inflamed and went away after a day or two.
I still had lots of the product left so I read up on all the many uses for it.
This product can be used on scrapes and slight burns, added to foot creams for odor control and antibacterial benefits, on bug bites to take the sting away and so much more. It is oily, being an oil, but so little is needed that it really isn't an issue. It never caused my skin, or the skin of my family, any negative issues.
I have used Jason Natural Cosmetics Tea Tree Oil on bug bites and minor burns. My son uses it when he gets bitten up by mosquitoes and he has used it on a few blemishes with success. It even works on raggedy cuticles. Some articles suggest that tea tree oil like this can be ingested to help with colds, flu, and stomach upset. I wouldn't ingest it. It may be fine but I just don't want to chance it.
I use Jason Natural Cosmetics Tea Tree Oil topically for all sorts of things and it works quite well. My son now has a bottle because he tends to get breakouts now and then on his chest and usual acne medication burns and is ineffective but the tea tree oil reduces the redness immediately and seems to work well to clear up those blemishes. My husband uses it after shaving at times when he nicks or cuts himself to sooth the area and to reduce bacteria without stinging or burning.
Sensitive skin types should, according to the manufacturer, dilute this oil with vegetable oil or witch hazel. None of us have ever had any issues with stinging or irritation and we all have various levels of sensitive skin. It's good stuff to have on hand for all sorts of little ailments. I keep finding new uses all the time.
100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil - No Lauryl Sulfate, No Laureth Sulfate - No Animal Testing.
Jason Natural Cosmetics Tea Tree Oil is available on and offline at drugstores and health supply stores. It's reasonably priced at around $8.00 a bottle and can sometimes be found for less on sale.
I like Jason Natural Cosmetics Tea Tree Oil for many reasons. It's completely pure, there is no animal testing involved, and it is effective. The product lasts a long time and works on so many different little issues. We have never experienced any irritation, stinging, or breakouts from this product and will repurchase it soon as we are running out. 4 stars.
