Perfect Percision

I was in the market for a liquid liner pen. I use creme liner when I'm going for a dramatic look, but it can take a while to apply and I can't find any that make a really deep black, shiny finished line. (I never said I make reasonable demands.) So, when my local Sephora was sold out on Smashbox's new liquid liner pen, I poked around the Kat Von D display.

Look, I'll be honest: I really didn't want to like Kat Von D's products. Too cliche. Of COURSE the tattoo'd chick from TV is gonna launch a beauty line. But sometimes you have to swallow your pride and admit even something totally cliche can be totally perfect.

The Deets:

Flexible brush applicator that feels like a felt-tip pen
.02 ounces of glob-free deep, shiny black liquid
Nice, fine point that flares easily with slight pressure
GREAT control and WAY easier than traditional brush applicators
Goes on smooth & flawless
$18 at Sephora
Also comes in Navy
NOT Waterproof but definitely smudge-proof

The liner stayed on ALL DAY and didn't budge, even when I forgot about it and rubbed my eye. Still, it came off easily with my normal target-brand makeup remover without a hint of product left over.

I really can't recommend this liner any more highly. If you love the look of liquid liner but are afraid you'll mess it up, grab the Kat Von D tattoo liner and you will not be disappointed!

As much as I dig MAC's Fluidline, there are still days when I could just go for a nice, eyelining pen like this. I've tried the ones by MAC and Shiseido before and thought they were alright. I'll definitely check out this Kat Von D one the next time I'm at Sephora. Looks thinner than the others I've tried. Thanks for sharing, Lia!
