Drugstore Mascara that gives you excellent results
May 2, 2009
I once had full long lashes but over the years my lashes are not so full anymore. I also developed an allergy to certain brands. Then I discovered department store mascara and was blown away by the many colors and the expensive price tag. When I had to cut back on expenses, $30 dollar mascara had to go.
This mascara comes in a couple of different versions. I am going to talk about the original version.
I get the same results that I was getting with the department store brand. No big time smearing.
The offer three basic colors but watch out for the limited editions that sometime come out. If you see something you like, but it quickly because the limited editions go fast. My favorite was the bronze mascara that came out a few years ago.
Expect to pay anywhere from $7-9 dollars. Find a sale and stock up.
*remember to throw away your mascara after three months of use.
*tip place a small sticker on the bottom of the tube with the month to throw away the tube written on it so you do not forget.
I have been using L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara for so long that I actually don't remember what other mascaras feel like, look like, wear like on my eyes. This product not only lengthens and “volumizes” my fairly scarce eyelashes but it's versatile! it can be worn lightly (just a couple of wand strokes) or it can be layered on to create that VA VA VA VOOM look; and have no fear, the layered look of this mascara will not make you look like "Spider lash" woman! … more
I always try new high-end (department store counter) mascaras, however when i use this one again, i always find myself asking why i strayed away in the first place. It is unbelievable, especially for its price!
