Better suited as part of a decor than functional

I purchased a few sets of these at a local WalMart to complement a larger set for my kitchen: 7 Piece Estate Vineyard Dish Towel Set/3 Dish Towels 2Pot Holders/Oven Mitt and Dish Cloth. I am not going to address price and shipping because those factors are variable. This review will focus strictly on the towels.

These towels are gorgeous with vivid color prints that stand out is a kitchen. They do not do as well when you actually want to use them as dish towels. For one reason they are thin and not absorbent. For another, they start losing their vibrant colors after a few trips to the washing machine. They are just too flimsy. I will say that they are excellent - if not gigantic - dish cloths if you do want to use them for functional tasks.

The bottom line is if you are using these for purely aesthetic purposes (and you can get them for less than the five bucks I paid), they are a nice value. Mine hand on the handle on my oven and add a lot of color to my kitchen as well as creating a coherent visual theme. They unfortunately fall short as true dishtowels.
