Vellux Blankets Are SO Warm and Luxurious!

  • Nov 16, 2005

I've had my navy blue Vellux blanket for our Queen size bed for several years now. It's amazing at how this blanket holds warmth! In fact, we use it as a bedspread. Sometimes, it gets a bit *too* hot!

It feels velvety and sensual and looks that way, too. We've washed it lots of times and it's never faded...not once. It's quite a bulky blanket, though, so you'll likely have to wash it all by itself. It's not heavy, it's just, well, *substational*.

We loved it so much, we bought our son a twin sized one for his bed!

If you're looking for an attractive blanket that's warm and soft, Vellux is a wonderful choice for your bedding needs. It's well worth the price!

About this product

This dreamily soft blanket from Martex feels just like velvet, but is remarkably lightweight and easy to maintain. It is made with millions of nylon surface fibers and two layers of insulating polyurethane foam for maximum warmth and comfort. The plush surface won’t mat or pill no matter how many times the blanket is washed. Plus, it won’t fade or lose its velvety softness. This blanket is used in many hotels around the world because it’s hypoallergenic and withstands frequent washings. Because it’s breathable and lightweight, it’s perfect for use in all seasons. Since it’s available in a range of stylish colors, it will compliment any décor. This blanket would add a special touch of luxury to your guest bed, but once you experience its softness, you’ll probably want one for your own bed, as well.--Susannah Detlef
