Pros: Very durable and can take a beating.

Cons: Some tables can get very expensive.

The Bottom Line: I can highly recommend this if you need a table go through the catalog this way it will not hurt for pocketbook that much.

Even though this is a grooming table you can also use it as a traveling work platform.  A lot of places on the Internet will sell this table for $130, or you can do as I did and go to the magazine called Pet Edge and purchase one through them.  For the price of less than $50.00, you can have this grooming table that will withstand being submerged in water and the weight of just about any dog.

This particular grooming table measures 36 inches by 24 inches and stands 30 inches tall.  The table itself is made up of 1 inch thick plywood and has a rubber coating on the top.  Along the outer edge it also has a rubber protector to prevent any splinters from happening.  Underneath you have two football goal shaped legs made of nickel chrome, that when opened will lock in place to prevent the table from collapsing.  The total weight of this table is only 25 pounds.

I've been a dog groomer for right around 10 years and I have put every kind of dog on top of this table that you can think of, from a 20 pound miniature schnauzer all the way up to the size of a 180 pound Newfoundland.  I have also purchased a 26 inch lazy Susan and placed it on top of this table for the purpose of putting the smaller dogs on top of this table.  This has helped save time so that I would not have to go all the way around the table and trim the dog all I would have to do is spin the dog.  As long as the dog was cooperative, the table is very stable.  Plus, as long as the bigger dogs sit still the table will not move around.

I have found this table to be very durable.  We just recently went through a major flood and this table was totally submerged.  After drying everything out, this table has survived and the wooden part of the table did not even swell up.  The flood was six months ago and the table is still in one piece, it has been a very durable part of my grooming tools.  There have been times that it has gotten knocked over, but it has still stayed in one piece.  Even though this has went through a major flood, I thought that the legs would start to rust but as of yet, they are still nice and shiny.

I usually purchase all of my grooming stuff through Pet Edge.  The durability and quality of this table has been very commendable.  I have had this table for over eight years and it is still going strong.  The height of his table seems to be at just the right level.  They do make hydraulic tables but they cost much more than this one.  So, if you are in a pinch and just need a table to work off of, this is the one for you.
